What is CREAR Futuros?
CREAR Futuros is a peer mentorship program dedicated to empowering students and boosting Latino student success by fostering a supportive community. First- and second-year students are connected with experienced student leaders, who provide guidance and support to help mentees thrive academically and personally.
CREAR Futuros (College Readiness, Achievement, and Retention) is a national peer mentorship initiative powered by the Hispanic Federation, dedicated to empowering Latino student success at partner colleges and universities nationwide. UIC LARES is proud to be a partner in this impactful program.

Mentee Expectations:
- Active participation throughout the fall and spring semesters
- Weekly communication with your mentor
- Attendance at monthly mentor/mentee development workshops
- Participation in at least three CREAR networking or extracurricular events
