You’re In! Let’s Celebrate!

Congratulations on your admission to UIC! We are thrilled to welcome you to the Class of 2028 and can’t wait for you to join our campus community. To celebrate your achievement and help you and your family get to know UIC better, we invite you to the LARES Family Day on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for you to:

Meet other admitted students and their families and make new friends before you even arrive on campus.
Get insights into campus life from current students, faculty, and staff.
Learn about academic programs, student organizations, and support services.
Explore the campus and get a feel for our welcoming environment.
Ask questions and get personalized advice from our LARES advising team and many campus partners.

We have something for everyone at the event, including:

Information sessions on academic programs, financial aid, and student life.
Sessions will be offered in English and Spanish.
Learn about the UIC Latino student experience!
Textbook scholarship raffle
Campus tours led by current students.
And much more!

About LARES:
As the largest success program at the University of Illinois Chicago, LARES was established to assist the educational advancement of the Latino community. LARES plays a key role in assisting students with enrollment and helping students successfully transition to UIC. Our services include academic advising, academic tutoring and seminars, financial aid counseling, major and career exploration, and student leadership and professional development.

We encourage you and your family to RSVP by March 3rd. We can’t wait to meet you and your family at the LARES Family Day!
