LARES Support Fund

Gifts to this fund help enhance the services we provide to our students. Each dollar creates student opportunities to support conference attendance, study abroad, recruitment and retention initiatives, programming, research opportunities, and recognition events.

"Sí Se Puede" Corazón de León Scholarship

Gifts to this fund supports students who are or intend to be active participants in the LARES program.

César E. Chávez/Frida Kahlo Award

Gifts to this fund help honor youth leaders in their junior and senior year, with contributions made in the service of the UIC campus or the greater Latino community. Nominees may have a combination of financial need, academic achievement, and civic or campus involvement.

Latino Alumni Award

Gifts to this fund help students in their junior or senior year who have a combination of financial need, academic achievement, and community service take advantage of leadership and enrichment opportunities including conferences, special projects and travel abroad.

Near West Side/Hull-House Latino Community Award

Gifts to this fund supports an award that recognizes the best essay, research project, performance or artistic submission on a topic related to the community history or current social realities of Latinos in Illinois.
