César E. Chávez / Frida Kahlo Award

The César E. Chávez/ Frida Kahlo Award recognizes student leaders who demonstrate a commitment to the Latino community. Applicants should demonstrate the following: leadership in extra-curricular activities, contributions made in the service of the UIC campus or Latino community, academic excellence, and financial need.
Eligibility
- Must be a UIC undergraduate with a recommended GPA of 2.8 minimum.
- Must have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours at UIC at the time of application.
- Must be a junior or senior at the time of application (60-130 credit hours).
To be considered for this award, students will need to:
- Complete the LARES César E. Chávez/ Frida Kahlo Award online application.
- Visit http://uic.academicworks.com.
- Select “Sign In With Your Institution”.
- Complete the general UIC SnAP application.
- When finished, click on “Finish and Submit”.
- Go to the “Opportunities” tab and search “LARES César E. Chávez/ Frida Kahlo Award”; click “Apply”.
- Complete required supplemental questions.
- Click “Finish and Submit”.
